ATV2 Reboots when connected to Internet

I have a ATV2 that is on 4.4.4 jailbroken.

It was working fine up until a couple of days ago, then all of a sudden it just flickers reboots.

I discovered that if it’s not connected to the internet, wifi or wired, that it stays on the main menu not that I can really do anything.

Was thinking of restoring and then redoing the jailbreak, have shsh saved from before.

Just wondering if there is a better solution?

The only thing I seem to have found is to disable auto updates in xbmc\system\addons

but that didn’t help.

Also have tried plugging in internet after starting xbmc but the same just reboots flickers.

thanks for reading:(

Have had the same problem till i downgrade my routers firmware. Since zhis time no problem anymore…
Maybe this will help you, too?!

Thanks. I have tried two different routers with no success.

I have also tried an other Apple tv2 and it works fine.

Just confused.

Well I fixed it without having to re-jailbreak.

Used putty to ssh in as root.

Apple-TV:# apt-get remove beigelist

The following packages were automatically installed and are no longer required:

org.xbmc.xbmc-seatbeltunlock com.nito.updatebegone com.nito.tssagent org.tomcool.smframework gawk bsdiff <--(these will stay installed)

Use 'apt-get autoremove' to remove them.

The following packages will be REMOVED:

beigelist com.nito.nitotv org.xbmc.xbmc-atv2 <-- (will be removed)

Then I re-installed the packages that were removed.

Apple-TV:# apt-get install beigelist com.nito.nitotv org.xbmc.xbmc-atv2

no more crash loop.

You can try just typing :# apt-get install --reinstall beigelist com.nito.nitotv

Not sure which one of those 2 caused the crash loop but I know it wasn't xbmc

THANKS 100% success with this.
