ATV won't boot from flash drive

I created the patchstick using an HP 4GB flash drive. When I plug it into the ATV and reboot the ATV it does not boot from the patchstick.

I have patch ATV to read files from USB disk, must I do so ATV reads from internal disk to update?

Solved by using another Usb stick

I tried several USB sticks before getting one to work. It seems theres a 2Gb limit of the size

Thanks to moep, I have been able to use a 16gb thumbdrive without issues. check the post here
