Aspect ratio options no longer working

In previous updates when I was watching a movie and it didn’t fill the entire screen, it would mess up the aspect ratio, I would select SDTV and the video would expand and fill the full screen, the movie would appear larger, and recently with the new update I can’t do what I used to do, I don’t know if they moved it to another location, or if something needs to be changed, but I’ve tried everything in the world and I can’t.

WOULD LIKE THEM TO ENABLE THAT OPTION AGAIN OR FIX IT AGAIN.

Thanks for the report. There are a few items we are looking into here.

This is my second post, and it’s about the same thing I did in the first post, I would like the video to fit the entire screen, not have it stay with that outline that makes the video look smaller, when it could be seen bigger and take better advantage of the screen, in November of last year I made a post and it is about the same thing and it is time that they do not fix it, I already looked at that they have it pending, but it has already seemed a lot to me for them not to add or fix that, I do not know if it is very difficult to fix that is why they have not added it yet.

This, for the love of god, please fix this.

It’s nonsensical to stretch to cover the whole screen cropping the sides.

The proper behavior is to stretch the video like in the picture (stretch it so it touches the shorter side of screen and stop there, even if there is black bars up and down.

The proper way of doing it is to set it to stretch the video to fill the screen keeping the aspect ratio and without cropping, not to stretch and crop and lose content on the sides.

And still no fix for the improper fit-to-screen zoom.

Unfortunately not, they are still the same. I made the first request regarding this in November and now they haven’t added it, not even in the betas, or have they given a date for when they could add it, but no, nothing.

Hello developer, I have encountered an issue regarding the size of the video playback screen. As shown in the figure ,

under the default screen size, it is obvious that the video screen on iPhone is too small. I will click the zoom in button in the upper left corner. However, when the screen is enlarged, the content of the four corners of the screen cannot be displayed normally, affecting the viewing experience.

I suggest that developers adjust the zoom ratio of the screen, as shown in the picture, to preserve as much video content as possible while enlarging the screen.

I really wish I could zoom in on the video to fit it correctly on the screen, eliminating some of the black bars and making the most of the iPhone screen.

I hope you take this suggestion into account and don’t forget it. I think many of us would be happy with this feature.

This is an example of what it might look like:

Image 1 is from SenPlayer, and Image 2 is from Infuse, playing the movie Detective Chinatown 1900. Apps like SenPlayer use a zoom mode that crops based on the left and right edges of the frame, which only removes content from the top and bottom. Since modern movies tend to have wider aspect ratios, losing some of the top and bottom isn’t a big issue. However, Infuse, as shown in Image 2, displays black bars on all four sides by default. If you use Infuse’s crop mode, it crops based on the top and bottom, which results in losing parts of the image on the left and right.
It would be great if Infuse could add an adaptive zoom mode like SenPlayer, as this would significantly improve the viewing experience.

I like infuse very much and hope the developers can improve it. Thank you!
