Apple TV's volume was very low. Turn down your TV or receive

Hi
With the last 2 versions whenever I try to play a file from the “Files” menu i get this message:

Apple TV’s volume was very low. Turn down your TV or receiver volume before continuing.
(Image of this screen is attached)

I need to hit “OK” , then it takes me to a frozen screen and when I press menu it takes me back to that error screen. After 4-5 times repeating this process everything is fine.

Any idea how to fix it?

Thanks,

Ofir

I had this problem as well when trying to play H.264 files. When I changed the video selection in the Nito settings to quicktime instead of perian it seems to have fixed the problem and I don’t get the message anymore.

It happens with all kind of of files: AVI files in specific.
I’ll try your advice and see if it works.

Thanks

I tried it with no success.

any other ideas how can I fix it?

Thanks,

I had this problem running XViD files - Go to the settings and disable the volume control on the AppleTV. Assuming you’re controlling your volume with an amplifier, just disable the AppleTV’s volume control.
