The skip intro button is great but on the newer apple tv 3rd gen running tvOS 26, the countdown progress on the skip button is almost invisible.
Its white on white, very hard to see it - it is way too subtle. On non Liquid Glass Apple TV 4K (2nd gen) the progress is quite clear.
What can be done to make the contrast a bit more contrasty or even a different color completely ?
what tvOS is the 2nd gen running?
Same. 26.5 on both. But 2nd gen doesn’t have Liquid Glass
If it’s a second gen ATV 4K it should have liquid glass. The first gen ATV 4K is the one that doesn’t support liquid glass.
Here’s a discussion that may help in your case.
You can’t completely turn off the “Liquid Glass” effect, but you can significantly reduce it by going to Settings > Accessibility > Display & Text Size and enabling Reduce Transparency. For the lock screen clock, press and hold on the Lock Screen, tap “Customize,” then tap the clock and change the style from “Glass” to “Solid”.
You can also try: Settings > Display & Brightness > Liquid Glass > Tinted
not looking to disable liquid glass. I love it.
It’s just that the button shade as it counts down the “skip intro” is too close together - you can hardly see the progress bar moving.
Sorry. You are correct. It’s a 1st gen.
The other one looks awesome in Liquid Glass. I don’t want to turn it off.
I do think the progress effect on the skip intro button is too subtle. It looks like white on very very slightly whiter white.
