Apple TV Infuse won't wake up my Imac

Hi, Im having issues when my mac goes to sleep my infuse cant access any of the media unless i manually wake up my mac.

I am connecting through SMB. apple tv is connected via ethernet cable into my modem and my Imac is using wireless.

  • Im using a apple tv 4 and running infuse 5 pro
  • Im using an Imac 27 inch, running High Sierra
  • In the energy saver setting I have wake for network access enabled.
  • The hard drive i have my content on and shared through my mac on the network is saved on a LaCie 8TB Porsche Design USB 3.0 External Desktop Hard Drive
  • running the latest version of OS on my apple tv
  • running latest version of infuse

in the energy saver setting I have wake for network access enabled.

I opened an email ticket for this issue over 2 months ago, though still haven’t gotten a solution.
Hoping someone here can help.

Thanks!

What year model iMac?

Thanks for the reply NC

My mac specs are:
iMac (27-inch, Mid 2010)
2.8 GHz Intel Core i5

ATI Radeon HD 5750 1024 MB

Cheers

As a test can you try using an Ethernet connection to the iMac instead of wireless? Seems that there are some issues with pre-2017 iMacs and the wireless not allowing wake packets. I have two 2012 imacs and neither will wake on wireless to ATV. I also have 2 2017 iMacs and they both wake fine over wireless.
