Apple TV Infuse Deep Links

I am trying to play a movie from my downloaded library on my AppleTV Infuse using a deep link.

For this example, I’m using the TMDB id code of 842924 for The Life of Chuck which is in my library. You can use any movie ID for a movie you have to test. The deep link format is below.

infuse://movie/842924

When I use this link, Infuse opens up on the AppleTV and then I get the error:

“Failed to open input stream in demuxing stream”

However, the same link works perfectly on my iPhone with Infuse. This seems like an Apple TV infuse bug. I saw that another person on this forum had the same problem but nobody responded to him.

Is this a bug on the Apple TV version of Infuse?

Deep links are not yet supported on Apple TV but these will be available in one of the next updates.

@james Is there going to be a way to sync .strmlnk librar entries through iCloud to tvOS as well?

This is now available in Infuse 8.2.3.

Does this include syncing .strmlnk files through iCloud to the AppleTV as well?

This does not affect iCloud or strmlnk files, but if you have these saved in iCloud you can access them on Apple TV by following the steps in this guide.
