Apple tv from macos - infuse 8.3.9 incredibly slow to load

Even the smallest of files and folders are taking an incredibly long time to load now. I’m talking minutes, not seconds, for what used to be almost instantaneous. It even takes an eternity to load the folder list while trying to do a speed test.

Nothing has changed on my mac in terms of OS

Maybe do a speed test and post the results here with a screen cap of the graph also?

Maybe update infuse also?

The app is 8.3.9 which I believe is the latest. It took about 3 minutes to just be able to run a speed test

Over 15 minutes since I started the app, and it’s still syncing

How are the Apple TV and Mac connected to the network (Wired or Wi-Fi)?

One thing you can try is to adjust the SMB version in Infuse. Setting this to SMB2 may provide faster speeds (as it bypasses the SMB3 related encryption features which may be enabled on the server which can slow things down).

From here you can go to the settings > Library and see where it’s at in the sync cycle.

As James said, if you’re connecting via SMB then changing the SMB to either 2 or Legacy would be worth a try.

What Mac OS are you running and could you still provide a screen cap of the graph that goes with the speed test?

So I’ve moved it from Auto to SMB2, and while the first few videos I tested still were slow to load, it seems to have normalised now

Thank you NC and James for your swift efforts to resolve this
