Apple TV Crash Report

Hi all,

I have placed several posts on this forum trying to get some answers about DVD ISO Playback through AppleTV but as yet nobody has provided any answers.

This evening I tried another round of tests using a movie which doesn’t play and causes AppleTV to crash.
The movie in question is “House Of Wax” region 2.

I originally used DVD Decrypter to create a copy protection free ISO image file. This was the starting point. Any which way I tried, using pretty much all of the nitoTV settings it crashed AppleTV. The original ISO I created was a DVD clone (i.e. it contained menus, special features etc). I then read an article which suggested that DVDFab was the best tool to use as it removes ALL the latest copy protection mechanisms, so I created another ISO using DVDFab, this time the ISO was just the movie (i.e. no menus or special features). This also crashed AppleTV :frowning: I then ripped the DVD, again with DVDFab, into a folder this time instead of an ISO file. This also crashed AppleTV!!! Arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrgh!!

I am rapidly loosing my patience with all of this, I just want something that works. ALL of my ISO’s that I have ripped work flawlessly under mPlayer for windows and some do play using nitoTV (for example, Poseidon, Aliens - No problems at all) so I don’t think it’s my ISO’s

I can’t for the life of me find a detailed log of why mPlayer is failing despite having logging turned on… what’s up with that?

The best I can provide is this crash report which I got from the file CrashReporter.log.

Please admins…can you take a look at this and also my other recent posts as there is definitely some sort of issue here.
I want to be able to play back my DVD collection from ISO’s and not be forced to rip them to divx, surely that’s not too much to ask and it is purely why I purchased ATVFlash

Kind Regards,

Please try and keep all related posts in a single thread. Posting multiple threads tends to clog up the forum.

Cheers
