Apple TV 4K Gen 2 Vs Gen 3

Has anybody upgraded from the GEN two to GEN three Apple TV and if so, have you seen any performance difference between the two using infuse looking for examples like moving around in the menu fast forwarding general overall use

I currently use both the Apple TV 4K (A12) and Apple TV 4K (A15).
In my experience, there’s no noticeable performance difference when using Infuse Pro. As long as ā€œMatch Frame Rateā€ is disabled, both devices perform very smoothly.

(When ā€œMatch Frame Rateā€ is enabled, the Apple TV adjusts the entire output — including the interface to match the frame rate of the video content. So if you’re watching a 24Hz movie, the UI will also run at 24Hz, making it feel slow and unresponsive. ) *

I’ve heard some claims like James mentioned (If i recall right) that the A15 model supports Dolby Vision better in specific profiles, but I haven’t verified this firsthand.

The 3rd gen Apple TV 4K will have better support for some flavors of Dolby Vision, but beyond that there isn’t a whole lot of difference.

It’s rumored we’ll get a new Apple TV model this year and presumably this will have a new enough chip which will allow us to enable our new AI Upscaling features which were introduced in Infuse 8.1.2. IMHO, this alone would make it a worthwhile upgrade from any current Apple TV model.

I also currently use both and haven’t noticed any difference.

Also the Apple TV 4K 3rd generation supports HDR10+
