My ATV isnt working, I plug it into my laptop and iTunes it says Apple TV in Recovery Mode, I click Restore Apple TV, and it goes through the motions, seems to do the trick, says disconnect and plug into tv, and nothing happenes…
Plug it back into my laptop again and its back to Apple TV in Recovery Mode…
Please help!!
The Apple TV will always be in Recovery Mode when connected to a Mac or PC via USB.
Are you seeing any lights come on the Apple TV when connected to your TV? If it’s not powering up after a restore it may be a hardware issue.
Thanks for the reply buddy, I think it may be dead, if I plug it into my laptop via usb it switches on, but not using the mains cable! no lights, no red light in the fibre optic connection 
Or am I missing something?
The leads good, I use it for my ATV3 and I tried my Sky TV lead
