I currently have an Apple TV 2 on 5.2 that was jailbroken with seas0npass and ATV Flash installed.
I'm attempting to remove ATV flash, as things don't seem to be working properly. I've never saved SHSH blobs (nor do I really know what that means) but is there anyway to restore and rejailbreak my AppleTV without having to upgrade to 5.2.1? Would seas0npass or ATV Flash at anypoint saved my blobs in order to carry this out?
Try re-running ATV flash, whats the problem with it?
I’m just generally unhappy with it. I feel like I have accomplished everything I need it to do in the past without it. I see the value in it for ease of use, but it’s just not something I need.
Also it may be my imagination but I find XBMC doesn’t seem to run as well.
So is this not possible?
I see options in the maintenance to restore to 5.2 but clicking the number doesn’t do anything.
Actually you can save you blobs (firmware signatures) with ATV flash (http://support.firecore.com/entries/359097). Once saved, you should be able to rebuild with 5.2 firmware and the blobs. However be careful of doing it as some people are having trouble getting it to see their saved blobs.
Basically if you can wait for a 5.2.1 untethered, and have ATV flash sitting there gathering dust, you may not want to take the risk. However in theory and proven practice, that process should work.

since last 23 march i was at 5.2.1, i use ped’s method to JB thethered to 4.4.2. as ththered boot too troublesome , now back at 5.2.1 and finally 5.2
