I cant for the life of me connect Infuse to my library after updating to Mac OS Sierra using the same exact settings as when I was using El Capitan.
I keep getting a dialogue that pops up within Infuse telling me either the user name or password is incorrect (and I know without a shadow of a doubt what this is).
I’ve tried Pro versions of both v4 an v5 with no success either. Tried restarting the ATV and even switched both DT and ATV to the 2.4ghz as opposed to the shared 5ghz spectrums.
Can anyone possible help shed any help or guidance?
One thing to check, in system preferences>sharing make sure that file sharing is checked and when you highlight file sharing click on the options button and there make sure you have “Share files and folders using SMB” checked and below that it will list have the user listed and checked to enable windows file sharing.
Even more puzzling after launching my Console using SMB as a search strings produced the following (which correlates with the exact time I was trying to connect from Infuse):

That’s about as technical as I can get, I know one folder must be hidden somewhere on Macs that holds the magic smoke and mirrors and I have yet to find it.
Good luck and I’m looking forward to seeing what is causing your problem.
I’ve tried everything from removing the app from ATV and downloading a fresh copy, restart the ATV and even changing the user password (since the message repeats stating failed login or password).
Oddly, I have an external running my old OS (El Capitan) and it connects perfectly.
I just cant connect to my internal HDD running Sierra =/
UPDATE: Wiped my internal HDD and freshly installed Sierra OS using a new user and password. Reset the ATV to factory defaults (with latest OS) and reinstalled Infuse. Created a new share and I still cannot connect.
And one other thought, did you select the drive that you wanted to have shares on while in the finder and do a “Get Info” and make sure the “Shared Folder” is checked?
I’ve got the same issue. I purchased Infuse Pro 4 back in August and have only used it a few times. Trying to use it over the the holidays and I’m getting the same error about my username and PW not being correct. I went and verified by doing a file share between my rMBP and my wife’s MBA and had no issues connecting with the credentials. However, I cannot get Infuse Pro 4 or the free v5 version to connect via SMB.
I have confirmed that I have file sharing enabled, added the proper folders/drives as well. Verified SMB folder sharing was enabled as well, and as mentioned above, verified I can remotely connect with the user creds. Also note my wife’s MBA is still running Yosemite (while I have the latest version of Sierra).
