Any way to choose from movie / series-posters of tvdb?

Hi folks!

I just wanted to know, if there’s any way to choose from the various poster-collection for each movie / series-season of the tvdb-database WITHOUT downloading and placing it separately within the particular folder?

P.S.: With which criteria does Infuse select the posters? It seems, that Infuse tend to switch those periodically and/or after a metadata-wipe…

There’s not a way currently to select which poster or artwork Infuse downloads. I’m pretty sure Infuse downloads the one that has the most up votes on the metadata site. You can join both sites and up vote the one you like and that may change it to the top position.

Ok, thanks for the information!

Now I tried to change the artwork with own dedicated posters, but it won’t work.

I tried to change the season-posters of my American Dad! collection by following the Metadata 101:

I renamed the *jpg’s to “Season 1-poster.jpg” and placed them within the Season-folder itself separately and even all posters within the superordinated folder like this:

Within Season-folder:
American Dad
— Season 1
------ Episode1
------ Episode2
------ Episode…
------ Season 1-poster.jpg
— Season 2
------ Episode1
------ Episode2
------ Episode…
------ Season 2-poster.jpg

All posters together within “American Dad”-folder:
American Dad
— Season 1
— Season 2
— Season …
— Season 1-poster.jpg
— Season 2-poster.jpg
— Season …-poster.jpg

Not working with both methods.

Should I wipe all metadata?

Or are there settings, which could interfere with my intention (“activate embedded metadata” etc.) ?

The pic you want for each season goes in the Series folder, not inside each season folder. You second example should work. Did you try doing an Edit Metadata after you placed the season pics in the series folder? Infuse I believe will cache the pics until it is told to refresh and then it should pick up the new user placed pics.

I think you only have to do the Edit Metadata on a single Episode and select the correct choice and all should be working then. Infuse will first use locally located (not embedded) metadata, then it will fetch what isn’t available local.

Embedded option should stay off.
