As far as I understand, the current version of Infuse for macOS uses its own rendering pipeline, which means it doesn’t play nice with the system color management (ColorSync) too well. E.g., in the HDTV Rec.709 reference mode (on a MacBook Pro) the tone response for SDR content matches sRGB curve instead of gamma 2.4 (bt.1886).
I’m assuming there would need to be a switch to using some kind of native system video rendering mechanism for this to be fixed, so I was wondering if it’s anywhere on the radar for the foreseeable future?
