Any advice for attempt number 5?

Hi,

  • first attempt I couldn't get into DFU mode
  • second attempt got into DFU mode easily after I read to try DFU mode just after you unplug the power.  Went through the entire iTunes restore process, but no Firecore icon instead of the apple default settings icon so assumed it hadn't worked?
  • third attempt, entered DFU mode easily, then had a season pass error where it ways iTunes script error, and using finder to select file - nothing happened
  • fourth attempt cannot get into DFU mode, with power on or off?

ps - should iTunes be started or closed when you plug the apple TV2 in?

 

Any advice?

For me as soon as it enters DFU mode I plug the power cord back into the ATV unit.  The seems to work every time.
