Just upgraded to v2.0 and I’m pretty pleased so far. One thing that’s kinda bugging me right now, though, is that the Library seems to alphabetize movies based on the metadata title, rather than the actual filename. This is a bit of a pain when it comes to a series of movies.
For example, in the old set up, if I had files named Alien 1.avi, Alien 2.avi, Alien 3.avi and Alien 4.avi, they would display in order in media player as Alien, Aliens, Alien 3 and Alien: Resurrection. In the new set up, it disregards this and lists them as Alien, Alien: Resurrection, Alien 3 and Aliens. The same issue arises for other series like Harry Potter and The Lord of the Rings.
I was dealing with similar issues with the Harry Potter movies, LOTR, Terminator, Toy Story, etc. It was a bit frustrating. After playing with it I’ve been able to get them arranged alphabetically. It seems that it does actually alphabetize them by filename rather than metadata title. But the algorithm used seems to be a little off. For instance, “Toy Story.avi” would be booted behind “Toy Story 2.avi” and “Toy Story 3.avi.” So as you did with the Alien movies, I placed a " 1" after “Toy Story” and it worked. For Terminator, I had to do the same as well as remove the “The” on the first in the series.
Specifically for LOTR, I placed each file in its own subfolder and named the folders using the format “Lord of the Rings 2 - the Two Towers.” For the Harry Potter movies, I kept them all in the same folder but I used a similar naming: “Harry Potter 3 the Prisoner of Azkaban.iso.” With the last two movies I named them like this: “Harry Potter 7 the Deathly Hallows - Part 1.iso” and “Harry Potter 7 the Deathly Hallows - Part 2.iso”.

+1 on wanting to bring back “sort by file name” option. I purposely made sure all my 600 movies had file names that would be sorted correctly within aTV, and now its a complete mess.
Bump. Can we please get a response from FireCore on this??? This is just asking for a previously existing 1.x setting to be available again in the 2.x release.
