At some point over the last couple of days, all of my OneDrive shares have stopped working with Infuse. It was working OK on Friday, but now I just get, “an error occurred - failed to open input stream in demuxing stream” when attempting playback from any of my four OneDrive shares. I am unable to do speed tests in Infuse either.
Forgetting the share in Infuse then re-adding doesn’t help.
I also have a single Google Drive share, which continues to work fine.
Seeing as I haven’t changed anything at my side since it was working OK less than 3 days ago, can anyone suggest what may be going on?
If this helps, the Diagnostic log is: 67QHP
I’m using version 8.1.5 and it occurs on both the Apple TV and iOS versions of the app.
A user on the r/infusevideoplayer sub on Reddit has helped me work out what’s going on.
Basically, OneDrive is currently preventing large downloads - whether that is for all accounts, I don’t know, as nobody has responded here. If I try to download any video file much above 500MB through a web browser, nothing happens, and that seems to be an issue for Infuse too.
I looked for the smallest video files I have to see what I can and can’t download through a web browser. My two smallest files are 477MB and 564MB and they download OK (and they play in Infuse), but the next smallest is 737MB and that will not download or play in Infuse and nor will anything larger.
UPDATE I tested my OneDrive Business account at work and there doesn’t appear to be any size restriction.
I haven’t seen any updates from OneDrive regarding file size limitations so hopefully this is just a temporary bug with the service that will be sorted out soon.
Looks like you’re right, James. Just a temporary glitch.
Videos in Infuse seem to play OK now and web browser downloads seem OK now too.
I did read about some kind of data migration at Microsoft, which caused the OneDrive app to spend hours processing changes for many users (including me over the weekend), so maybe that had something to do with it.
