Is there a setting that allows you to skip either by time intervals or chapters when double/triple-pressing your AirPods? I know this feature exists on Apple TV, but I haven’t seen it on Mac.
Thanks, but I’m talking specifically about the AirPods. It is not possible to set them to always skip by time interval for example?
I second this – on my Apple TV, when I missed some dialog, sometimes I’ll instinctually triple-tap my AirPods thinking it’ll go back 10 or 15 seconds, because that’s what I do with podcasts and audiobooks.
But instead it goes back to some random point like 10 minutes earlier! And I’ve totally lost my place, and so have to waste time trying to seek back to where I was.
I have to assume that 99.9% of the time, people double- or triple-tapping their AirPods just want to go forwards or backwards by something like 10 seconds.
So even if there isn’t an option to toggle between the two, it would be much appreciated if AirPods seeked by time rather than chapter.
It’s such a muscle memory to be able to seek by time with my AirPods, and it gets really frustrating because I’ll never “unlearn” it with video, because I use it so frequently with podcasts, so I keep making this mistake!
