I am using aTV Flash (black) 1.0 to stream media from APF share on my Macbook, Mac OS X Lion and there seems to be an annoying problem. When I put Apple TV device to sleep it does not close AFP connection to Mac. With active AFP connections Mac would not go into sleep mode at all, not until I manually reset File Sharing services on Mac and disconnect the AFP user from the AFP share. Is there a way to tell aTV to unmount AFP share when Apple TV goes into sleep mode? If not, could it be added as an option in AFP share settings in some future update ofthe aTV Flash (black)?
The same for me… every time I have to disable AFP sharing on Mac and then enable again.
Could you please fix this?
Thanks!
same problem here. really annoying
I am getting this issue as well, a fix would be great…
Have the same issue with my MBP, really annoying!
Just updated, and still experiencing the same problems. Didn’t have the problem before with Flash (black), but it is not a reoccuring problem.
When I updated some of the programs under Maintenance, I noticed that upon restart, it closed the connection. Because the Apple TV wasn’t designed to “shut down” but to be put to sleep, the connection remains upon even if it has been off for some time.
A fix would be great, so I don’t have to keep going back to Sharing to close and open the AFP connection.
Moving to the suggestions section. We’ll see what we can do.
Has this been resolved? The AFP share is still not unmounting.
I want this too !
