I have some episodes as “Other” that no matter what I do will remain there. They don’t exist on TMDB and .nfo doesn’t work on TV shows.
If you had to deal with this, what was your workaround?
If they are legitimate episodes I’d enter them on TMDB.
What series/episodes are giving you problems?
In this case it is a collection of old cartoons, one example is I have a blu-ray set for the entire Betty Boop series. I extracted all episodes in MKV and entered them in TMDB is the same order they appear on TVDB. For a while it worked but for reasons unknown to me, my entry at TMDB got taken down. Now I have a tons of episodes showing in others.
I’ve been through this too with some of the early cartoons. After doing some research I have to agree with TMDB. These aren’t really a TV series, they are “Short Films” and are classified on TMDB as movies.
If you want to have Infuse pull the info you need to format the file names like
Betty Boops Ker-Choo 1933.mkv
You can find the names and release dates for most of them here if you want to get them where Infuse will find them.
I went through the old cartoons I have collected and got them corrected and it works great for me. Hope this helps.

But then, I guess the next question is how do you handle this as a short film collection in Infuse?
You’re going to have tons of short films that should be grouped similarly to a TV show.
Dang you sure make me feel OLD!!!
Most of these were originally made for the original “Pre-Roll” at movie theaters, not TV. 
They will show up in the Infuse library in the movie sort appropriately called “Shorts”.
I believe that if you go to Library > Movies > Feature Films that will give you what you want, all movies but not the shorts. You can just add the “Feature Films” sort to your home page and you’ll have instant access to them.
