It’s really unfortunate that in Infuse 8, there’s still no progress regarding the loading of file sources from the cloud because I store most of my movie files in Google Drive. And every time I open the folder collection, it takes a very long time. Maybe it’s because there are many files, but I’m not sure—it shouldn’t be this slow. Most of my folder collections are shortcuts from Google Drive, just so they can be categorized without creating duplicate files that would waste storage. Now that Infuse 8 is out, I thought there would be changes regarding this issue, but it still takes a long time to load. Hopefully, in the next update, they can fix the slow loading problem with cloud storage folders.
Yeah, same with me. I thought it was a OneDrive problem because I dont see many people commenting about this. The loading time for cloud folders is too slow and I was also expecting some improvements on 8.0. Unfortunatelly, still the same.
Most of the time when you see slow speeds with cloud services it can be a temporary thing or possibly rate limits the service has in place.
This post gives some suggestions as to some settings that may help.
New scanning options have been added in the 8.0.4 update which will allow you to fine-tune how much scanning Infuse performs, and when this takes place. This can help speed up scanning and browsing in many situations.
