For context, I recently set a plex media server running in my home network on one of my PCs. plex remote access is disabled and you can only access its content on my network. I decided to add plex on my infuse app so I could access the content. During the set up it didn’t ask for the media server IP or anything it just asked me to sign into plex with my user name and password and then it synced my plex content into the infuse app. My question is while I am accessing my plex content on infuse is it using my internet subscription or it is just accessing the content directly over the network and does not touch my internet subscription.
Are you referring to the plex internet subscription (plex pass)?
No. Internet bandwidth subscription (500GB/month ). When I stream my plex content on the infuse app does it use up my internet bandwidth?
When streaming from a Plex sever on your local network Infuse will not use the internet bandwidth for streaming the video.
Infuse will fetch the current local server address from your Plex account so it’s always up-to-date, so a small amount of bandwidth may be used for this.
