Adding hard disk as source to Media Player

Guys - I’m too stupid for this.

I have an external hard disk on a TimeCapsule Base Station - now I’d like to add this disk as source in ATV2’s Media Player.

I’ve managed to do this in XMBC - but I like the Media Player better. Is there any way to do this? Or a Wiki, that explains this. I’ve really searched everywhere, found nothing. There must be a quite simple way - I just haven’t found it yet.

Some manual would be really helpful.

Thanks James. I already found that. Couldn’t get the AFP to work, so I tried SMB and nearly despaired in doing so. Now I’ve managed to mount the disk and even point to a specific folder in it (via AFP, which finally worked).

 

Is there any manual for the media player, which is more detailed, than the one you showed me?
