Adding fonts

Is there an option to add external fonts to be used instead of the original fonts of infuse 5?

Not at this time as far as I know.

Not at this time, but it’s something we’re considering for a future update.

Adding fonts will be a native feature on iOS 13.

In the meantime, you can use an app like iFont (‎iFont: find, install any font on the App Store) or AnyFont (‎AnyFont on the App Store) to add 3rd party fonts.

The current version of Infuse will be able to utilize these fonts for SRT and SSA/ASS subtitles, and the upcoming 6.1.5 release will resolve a few issues we’ve identified with SMI subtitles.

Do you know whether Apple has any plan adding this feature to TV OS too?

I don’t think they have announced anything for tvOS yet.

Thanks, It seams I have to embed the fonts into mkv files or just chose the conventional Fonts when making ass subtitles.

A list of all the fonts available on iOS (and by extension, tvOS) can be found here.
