Uhm maybe I missed it but when are we getting option to “reduce loud sounds” in the app directly same as Plex has for years ?

It’s really useful when the kids are not around to quickly enable proper sound on AppleTV

For now I have to go to Apple TV settings every time.

Hey @james, I’d like to know why the implementation of “reduce loud sounds” and/or “Enhance Dialogue” is so challenging.

Is it simply not possible to integrate it into the UI, or are there other reasons why it has never been implemented?

They mentioned this in the Infuse 8 thread: “Apple has limitations on where settings like this can be shown, but you can use Siri to enable/disable while using Infuse.”

I do wonder why other apps seem to not have this proble, though

Just adding my wish for this feature.

I’m constantly toggling “Enhance Dialog” and “Reduce Loud Sounds” via the settings menu. Very frustrating and don’t always want to use voice.

I don’t even think that infuse is utilizing that feature even if enabled. At least in my case I hear no difference.

Bump, it’s in the Netflix app just fine.

I believe that Netflix uses the Apple player.

Hi Firecore community,

I would like Infuse to have a “Reduce loud sounds” feature which limits the dynamic range so that loud sound effects are not terribly loud. This feature is provided by Apple on Apple TV but I would like Infuse to implement it so that it’s available on iOS and macOS as well.

Thanks. Just to clarify I would like this feature to be available on iOS and macOS even without having to own or use the Apple TV. I believe the original post talks about an easier access to the already existing “Reduce loud sounds” system feature in tvOS.

Paramount+ AppleTV App currently has this feature which is an awesome shortcut addition rather than switching to AppleTV Main Settings App. Possibly a future feature if enough of users recommend to developers.

Any idea why this is postponed? I would love this as a feature. Just switched to infuse pro and loving it!

Hope this feature could come someday!
