It would be nice to have access to the “Reduce Loud Sounds” option from the pulldown menu during playback, instead of having to exit to the Settings application and enabling it from there. Dynamic range compression is nice to have for watching movies at night. Thanks!

Adding more fuel here: the entire logic of Reduce Loud Sounds and Down-mixing (actual name in Infuse might be different) should be redesigned and added to its own section in settings as well as have as over-rides in the video playback options. Just my 2c. But a redesign and a better logic in setting…

What the heck? Just bought Infuse, delighted to see such a great and user-centered app, only to see such a simple feature request be omitted for 5 years. How??

That makes sense, just seems strange with it being an option in other apps. At least give us an explanation instead of ignorance

Uhm maybe I missed it but when are we getting option to “reduce loud sounds” in the app directly same as Plex has for years ? It’s really useful when the kids are not around to quickly enable proper sound on AppleTV For now I have to go to Apple TV settings every time.

Hey @james , I’d like to know why the implementation of “reduce loud sounds” and/or “Enhance Dialogue” is so challenging. Is it simply not possible to integrate it into the UI, or are there other reasons why it has never been implemented?

They mentioned this in the Infuse 8 thread: “Apple has limitations on where settings like this can be shown, but you can use Siri to enable/disable while using Infuse.” I do wonder why other apps seem to not have this proble, though

Just adding my wish for this feature. I’m constantly toggling “Enhance Dialog” and “Reduce Loud Sounds” via the settings menu. Very frustrating and don’t always want to use voice.

“Simple” is not always simple. Items that have been tagged as “postponed” generally mean they may never happen due to restrictions on the operating system or for other business reasons.
