Hello
Mac, AppleTV, iPhone, iPad with always last Version Infuse & OS
I was wondering why some Actor pictures are sometimes not getting syncronised or diapearing on syncronisation of new Movies or Metadata from Plex. Mostly it hapens on verry common actors like Gorge Clooney, Brat Pitt aso. The reason is: If an actor is also part of Producer, Author or Director the Actor Picture is removed in the Infuse Libary. You can reproduce it for example with “The Instigator” where the Pictures of “Matt Damon”, “Casey Affleck” & “Ben Affleck” diaspearing from the Libary if the Movie comes new into Infuse or the Metadata getting manually refreshed for this Movie. To get the picture back i have to pick another movie where the actor is not in the “Producer, Author or Director” and refresh the metadata of this movie.
Can this be fixed please?
Best regards,
Marco
Since new versions are frequently released in both Infuse as well as Apple OSs and Plex it may be beneficial to provide the actual version numbers just to help keep track of things.
iOS, TVOS 18.3.1 Mac 15.3.1 Infuse 8.1
Infuse 8.1.1 The problem still persist
Infuse 8.1.2 Problem still persists on all environment. It is really annoying!
Guys whats the problem here? This Bug is in a long time like here Lead Actor Missing from Mac Infuse - #5 by NC_Bullseye . I already did the work to find out why that happen the code fix is not longer than 10 Minutes., simple dont remove pictures if pictures are already there.
Apologies for some light necroposting, but I’m also experiencing this issue using the latest Infuse version (8.1.7) tied to my Plex server via Direct Mode. Whenever someone from the cast is also credited as the writer/director/producer, their picture is missing in the “Actor” entry.
Easily reproduced with all sorts of movies where the lead actor is often also the producer like Tom Cruise or Eddie Murphy for example. I see this behaviour on iOS 18.5, macOS 15.5, and tvOS 18.5.
Edit: Upon further inspection, it seems that the crew never have pictures at all, even though I’m pretty sure they used to a while ago.
