Since 6.0.8 i have issues getting the poster for the handmaids tale season 3. There is only one poster for english language on thetvdb https://www.thetvdb.com/series/the-handmaids-tale/seasons/3 and infuse is set to get the english version poster.
The poster infuse is downloading is missing the season three test at the bottom of the poster https://imgur.com/gallery/smRc652 and the poster is not on thetvdb website, so where is infuse getting the poster from?
I have tried edit metadata to get the correct poster but to no succes.
And when i enter season 3 folder to select an episode, the poster is missing from the right side of the screen. https://imgur.com/gallery/qNd9mVu
Has Improved poster selection logic for TheTVDb somehow messed up the metadata fetching?
It looks like the poster for season 3 was just added a few days ago, so there may have been a short delay before it became available to apps like Infuse.
There’s a good chance if you were to fetch (or refresh) metadata for the shows using your old structure today, the season artwork would appear as expected.
How long does it usually take for the correct poster to be fetched from thetvdb? Because as of today, refeshing the metadata still doesnt download the correct poster for season 3.
James, are there any plans to have an artwork selector in an upcoming version of Infuse? Alternatively, an option in the settings for infuse to select the highest rated artwork when fetching (on TVDb)?
I have a similar, albeit different issue for two of my TV series. One of them being Disenchantment; it seems as though Infuse is selecting the last of the English posters which is annoying because the uploader uploaded a Spanish version but tagged it as English. The other is Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (1987), whereby it appears as though a random poster is being chosen with no means of choosing.
It’s something we may consider for the future, but there’s no ETA right now.
Currently Infuse will choose the top rated poster for a specific language. In cases where there is no poster in a particular language, Infuse will fall back to English.
With regard to your two issues; For Disenchantment, I’m only seeing one Spanish poster Disenchantment - TheTVDB.com Is this what you are seeing as well? For TMNT, I don’t see any Spanish posters, so Infuse should be selecting one of the English posters, though there are a few that have a 10/10 rating.
If you’d like to display different posters for a series or season, artwork can be added manually by following the steps found here.
