Hey guys,
Following the instructions given I’ve been told to download season pass and click on the boot tether but when i click it i get a message saying that 1.4.4 doesn’t require a tether and won’t let me move on.
Tips?
I can’t even restore the software! i just get error 1600 in iTunes

ok i have managed to do the how thing! for me the problem was simple!! i just didn’t go into DFU mode properly! have you created the IPSW yet with SP?
I got all the way through the process, but now my ATV is stuck in recovery mode…
I haven’t created anything. Do i need to create a ispw for 5.0?
Getting error 14 here about ready to give up 
So, i have to create a ISPW for 5.0 and then when i run the tether i hold down the ALT key and then select the right ispw? Really appreciate your help.
I have the same problem. I get through the restore process fine but when I plug it into the TV, it just booted into recovery mode and shows the iTunes logo and cable on screen

Now just trying to figure out how to get xbmc working as it wont load, just crashes and returns to the main dash
have you done the tethered boot while connected via USB and then plugged in the HDMI WITHOUT disconnecting the power! Your symptoms make it sound like the power was disconnected so the ATV is still waiting for the tethered boot process via USB to complete.
ok so you need to open SP and click create IPSW this will then download the latest software (5.0) from apple and apply the different patches for the JB!! once it has done that it will ask you to then plug your aTV into the USB (not connected to the main power) and then you will need to enter DFU mode once it picks up the device in DFU mode it will copy a couple of files over and will then open iTunes and run the restore automatically! you don’t need to do anything! once this is finished you will then need to disconnect the USB and connect your mains power then connect your USB again and open SP but this time clicking on the Boot Tethered option! you then need to enter DFU mode again and once it tell you it’s finished you can then disconnect your USB!!! just remember you need to boot tethered every time you kill the power!
XBMC doesn’t currently work! but they are looking into getting an update for it!
Yes I forgot its only a tethered boot for now. However I tried to do the tethered boot and Seasonpass threw an error ‘unable to load iBSS’.
Im just getting a “connect to iTunes” logo on my tv. No jailbreak working here, hope there will be a solution.
Sounds like you didn’t do the tethered boot.
Fails for me every time with error 1600. Anyone know how to work around this or what error 1600 stands for?
