5.1 audio not right

Hi,

I have some old family videos which for some reason I encoded with 5.1 audio. In Plex’s client they sound ok, with audio coming mostly from the central speaker. In Infuse audio comes mostly from the right speaker.

Do you have any idea on how I can fix this other than re-encoding the videos?

Is this affecting all videos, or just a few?

All of the ones I encoded with 5.1 audio. I’ll upload some of them.

I just uploaded one file. Meanwhile I noticed that that file has two audio tracks. I selected the AC3 in Infuse and it sounds ok. Plex for some reason automatically choses this audio track.

It looks like this video does have 2 tracks: 2.0 stereo and 5.1 surround

The stereo track is tagged as default, so Infuse will use that one by default.

If you prefer to have Infuse ignore the default tag and always use the best track, simply change the Settings > Language > Audio setting from Auto to your desired language.
