4K Movie - ATV4 - Stuttering Playback

Hey Folks,

I have a ATV4 Plugged into a 1080 Projector and any 1080P films work just fine :slight_smile:

However, when I select a 4K film, the playback is unwatchable…obviously.

Is there a way to tell Infuse to down-mix the film or to get my Plex Server to down mix the film?

Or is my only solution to buy a ATV4K and then drop that in? (if that provides the best experience, i’m fine with this!)

This is the only thing stopping me taking out a full subscription, so super keen to get this fixed!

Basically this. While the ATV4 can software decode HEVC, it’s only at low bitrates and 8bit. You should upgrade if you’re going to be using a lot of HEVC :slight_smile:
