4.2 (iOS 4.3 - 8F191m) - untethered 4.1.1 (iOS 4.2.1 - 8C154) - untethered

Does anybody have any experience with these two firmwares?

  • 4.2 (iOS 4.3 - 8F191m) - untethered

This one will not install patched on any of the three ATV2s I need it to.  I have tried SP, Sn0w, TC, nothing works.  Fails at -1 Error.

  • 4.1.1 (iOS 4.2.1 - 8C154) - untethered

This one works fine with TC or Sn0w, but there is an ethernet error.  Boot without ethernet cable connected works fine, plug in the ethernet cable and the video flickers, drops in and out and eventually fials.  Pull out ethernet and rebott, all well aagin. And repeat.

I realise that in an ideal world one would just upgrade, but sadly we’re not in an ideal world and those are the extent of my saved blobs on three separate machines which all behave identically, as described above.

try this just change the ipsw to the one u have

Yeah, I’ve done all that, thanks (like I said above I used TC).  I always use that method to jailbreak 4.3 and lower.
