Can any one please confirm that performance wise there is no difference between the 32GB and 64GB model?
E.g. if on my mac I have a 4K movie, say 50GB that I want to play on the Apple Tv, that there will be no performance issues between the 32GB and 64GB model?

it could be 16GB and wouldn’t matter. Nothing should be stored on the Apple TV, you need a server storing the media. Processor is same for both.
The movie is streamed/ played from your Mac, not copied locally to your AppleTV, I have a 32GB model and stream 50GB files without any issues, just make sure you have a decent network, no WiFi or Powerline adapters
