How to upgrade 3.6.1 to 3.6.2? I already checked maintenance ==> install extras and cant find the upgrade
You have to download the latest version from Fire Core, put it on a patchstick, and install it the same way you installed 3.6.1.
this process sucks… I hope there’s better way without using patchstick again…

Y’know, this might just be me, but I kinda believe this sucks far less than the old method:
[list]Slice open bottom of AppleTV[/:m]
Remove Hard drive[/:m]
Insert hard drive into desktop computer[/:m]
Install a bunch of files and run some scripts[/:m]
Remove hard drive from desktop machine[/:m]
Reinstall hard drive into AppleTV[/:m]
Glue and duct tape together bottom of AppleTV knowing that it will never look the same as it used to[/:m][/list:u]
I just upgraded from 3.6.1 to 3.6.2 and it took me a collective total of about 10-15 minutes, including the download, patchstick creation and a couple reboots of my ATV.
Yep, an automated install would be great - but we’re talking about a software hack here. I’m pretty happy to have it as automated as we’ve got it.
