24/25p Playback Judder on M5 Vision Pro Due to 90 Hz Frame Rate Matching Issue

@james Hi James, sorry to tag you directly, but this is currently the most disruptive issue with Infuse on Vision Pro, especially for slow moving scenes.

I have a few questions:

  1. Does Infuse currently request a content matched refresh rate in either windowed or immersive playback?

  2. Is proper framerate matching technically possible on visionOS, and is this something the team intends to investigate or fix?

I actively use Infuse across Apple TV, iPhone, iPad, Mac, and Vision Pro, and I really appreciate the work you and the team have put into making the experience available across the entire Apple ecosystem.

However, the visionOS version still feels behind the other platforms or other visionOS players in some QoL areas. I understand that Vision Pro has a smaller user base and that development priorities have to be balanced across platforms.

I am not asking for a firm release date. Even an indication of whether these issues are being investigated, planned for later, or unlikely to be addressed would be extremely helpful.

I am asking because these issues affect my daily use enough that I need to decide whether to continue relying on Infuse on visionOS or begin moving to another player.

I have also reported a few others:

Separate Ambient and Accent Lighting Controls for Vision OS Environments - Platforms / Vision - Firecore

OpenSubtitles “Download Subtitles” option missing on Apple Vision Pro - Platforms / Vision - Firecore

Bug - Version picker on visionOS truncates long version names and hides bitrate - Platforms / Vision - Firecore

Dynamic Ambient Lighting for visionOS Environments - Platforms / Vision - Firecore

Thank you again for all the work you and the team have done on Infuse. It remains my preferred player on every other Apple device, and I hope the Vision Pro version can receive more attention as well.
